Incredibly impressed with Greenstone Gardens, Mark Howarth, Mark Jr., and their talented crew. From start to finish, the entire process was professional and expertly managed, and completely met and exceed our expectations. They have a true passion for their craftsmanship, which showed in their design, selection of plant materials, installation of materials (retaining wall, patio pavers, sod, mulch, plants, fencing, and lighting), and work ethic (timely arrival, 6 work days/week, daily clean up, and courteous manner). Our backyard landscaping project (major regrading surrounded by a 3-sided retainer wall - up to 4 feet at its highest point; 23x18 large patio with steps; walkway; drainage pit, and ambient lighting on a timer, to name a few features) was completed in the estimated 3 weeks. Our neighbors were just as impressed, and jokingly referred to our backyard as the best in Delaware County!

Mark did a total overhaul of our property, with extensive paving, landscaping and lighting. His hardscaping is fabulous and I have continued to use him for ongoing work.

Mark Howarth and his Greenstone crew were amazing. They ripped out our deck and supporting stone wall and built our new 30 x 15 PA Bluestone patio and its supporting EP Henry wall AND landscaped it in 8 days! From our initial meeting to get an estimate to weeks after the work was completed, Mark was readily available by phone and email. He was professional, patient, helpful and friendly while we considered, decided, changed our minds, and finally chose the material for the patio. We used Greenstone Gardens at our previous house for a front path and small wall. We liked it so much and thought they did a great job so a few years later we called Greenstone again for a side path, patio, garden wall, and seepage pit for the back downspout. We recently moved and sold our house in four days for full ask in part due to the great curb appeal and outdoor space! At our new house we had a loose stone wall that was in disrepair, a short path that was pitched toward the house for poor drainage and an uneven step, and a soggy backyard. Greenstone was our first and only call! They did a planter box with a wall, a path all the way down to the sidewalk, a planter around a new lamppost I installed, redirected several downspouts underground to pop up drains to get the water away from the foundation, and dug up the backyard to install catch basins and a seepage pit. Everyone I've ever dealt with from Greenstone is great! Very professional and knowledgeable. My township took an extra long time in getting around to approve the permit but Greenstone was flexible and jumbled around some jobs until the permit was ready. They always respond and answer all my questions, and I have lots of questions and I am always interested in how it all works. This latest project they finished ahead of schedule! The work crews are great and very hard-working! I've never heard them swear or play loud music, didn't smoke, they arrived promptly every day, and they clean up everything at the end of each day. Every crew we've had over the three projects have had years of experience. Javier and his crew on this job did great work. The quote from Mark Sr is always a nice meeting and thorough. We start out with a basic idea and he brings it to life. John is very knowledgeable about horticulture and does great designs. Mark Jr does a great job making the project happen. Greenstone Gardens was the best experience that we have had with any contractor since we purchased our home. Mark and his team were always responsive to questions, attentive to our requests and dedicated to delivering the best possible experience. Extremely happy with our retaining wall. It was custom built and meticulously done. Tom and the rest of the crew were very professional and had no problem answering all our questions with patience. We highly recommend using them. They were always on time, cleaned our property at completion and were respectful of our property. We can't see enough kind things about the entire company. Greenstone installed new front and side pathways for us, replaced sections of our front sidewalk, and replaced our garage floor and re-parged the garage walls. We embarked on these improvements because both paths had previously been subject to flooding. For the front path, Greenstone installed a drainage system to carry storm water under the path. Both walks have been tested by recent heavy downpours. They work perfectly! Dealing with Greenstone was a pleasure from start to finish. Mark Sr. gave us a competitive, comprehensive estimate on the spot. Mark Jr. proposed adaptations as the work was in progress that were aesthetically pleasing as well as practical. We were tremendously impressed by Greenstone's project team. Despite hot weather, Lupe, Tomas, and Riccardo worked steadily, effectively, and considerately. They are craftsmen who obviously take pride in their work. We and our neighbors are very pleased by the attractiveness of the walks. We enthusiastically recommend Greenstone!
